5 Water Tips For Anyone Affected by Harvey
The Water Quality Association (WQA) just published 5 things people affected by Hurrican Harvey should know about drinking water.
That page explains each tip in detail, but here’s a quick summary:
- Drink bottled water until you know your tap water is safe.

- Watch out for “boil water” orders.

If you have the proper flood insurance, we can work with you to make sure you’re reimbursed for expenses caused by water damage. We’ll provide you with a written quote, which you can give to your insurance company (like a damage claim). Give it to your insurance and they’ll reimburse you. Is My Culligan Drinking Water System Safe to Use?
If your water treatment equipment has been submerged because of flooding, then it needs to be inspected and may need disinfection, repair, or even replacement.
Normally we charge $99 for an “Inspect & Check” visit, as this covers the cost of gas and our service people’s time. However, as a way of helping out anyone who has been affected by Harvey, we are lowering our Inspect & Check price down to $24.95.
